i2 Executives to Present New-Generation Solutions at CSCMP 2006 Annual Conference October 15-18 in San Antonio
CSCMP 2006 Annual Conference

DALLAS--i2 Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:ITWO) today announced that the company will present new-generation supply chain management solutions at the upcoming CSCMP 2006 Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas, Oct. 15-18, 2006. Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer John Cummings, and Razat Gaurav, vice president of i2s Global Transportation and Distribution Industry Group, will be featured presenters during the conference. Hal Feuchtwanger, Director of Transportation Industry Solutions, will also co-present along with Charles Odom of i2 customer Averitt Express, and i2 Fellow and Senior Director of Research Development, Dr. Adeel Najmi, will participate during a panel discussion on integrating optimization and simulation methods into supply chain design.

The presentation by Cummings and Gaurav will address how leading global companies use information technology to integrate transportation management functions across their supply chain. Using customer examples, Cummings and Gaurav will explain how new-generation supply chain technology provides the capability to link upstream supply chain processes with overseas suppliers, manufacturing processes, merchandise flow, as well as planning and sourcing functions.

Gaurav will also speak on the topic of Truckload Transportation and Capacity Strategies: The Next Five Years. He will discuss the severe and prolonged capacity crunch that is facing the transportation industry, and offer capacity-building options important to the shipping community. His presentation will teach companies how to employ transportation management solutions to locate trucks within a reasonable budget and with absolute certainty so that the capacity becomes available when the need arises.

Feuchtwanger and Odom will be presenting both operational and technological challenges associated with global logistics.

Najmi will participate in a panel discussion where attendees can learn how simulation and optimization techniques are being integrated at world class companies. i2 will use case study examples of how its inventory optimization solutions are driving bottom line results for users.

i2 will also demonstrate its New-Generation Supply Chain Management solutions at the CSCMP Learning Exchange, taking place in conjunction with the Annual Conference on Oct. 16 at 11:30 p.m. CDT. About CSCMP

Founded in 1963, the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) is the preeminent association for individuals involved in supply chain management. CSCMP provides educational, career development, and networking opportunities to its over 9,000 members and to the entire profession.

CSCMP was originally founded as the National Council of Physical Distribution Management (NCPDM) in January 1963. NCPDM was formed by a visionary group of educators, consultants and managers who envisioned the integration of transportation, warehousing and inventory as the future of the discipline. At that time, physical distribution was just beginning to edge its way into the corporate lexicon and make its considerable presence felt in the business community.

In 1985, recognizing the growing field of logistics, the association's focus broadened as it changed its name to the Council of Logistics Management (CLM). It stayed that way until 2004 when CLM's Executive Committee voted to become CSCMP, effective in 2005. Learn more at www.cscmp.org.
