Web-based application helps healthcare providers simplify compliance reporting, lower HR administrative costs

PAUL, Minn.--Lawson Software (Nasdaq:LWSN) today announced that Capital Health System, Central DuPage Hospital and Kanabec Hospital each licensed Lawson Performance Management for Healthcare in Lawson's first quarter of fiscal year 2007, which ended Aug. 31, 2006. The healthcare providers will use the Lawson application to electronically administer employee performance reviews and competency assessments so they can quickly and easily meet the compliance requirements set by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).

Based on Lawson’s acquisition of Competency Assessment Solutions in July 2006, the new Lawson Performance Management application helps healthcare providers automate formerly paper-based employee performance management processes to simplify JCAHO audits. This hosted product is easy to use and provides employees with online access to job descriptions, performance appraisals, competency assessments, new employee orientation information and mandatory policy reviews. It also helps organizations increase human resources (HR) staff productivity and lower HR administrative costs.

Central DuPage Hospital – an existing Lawson Human Capital Management, Enterprise Financial Management, Supply Chain Management and Business Intelligence customer – will use the new application to establish consistent performance management processes across its departments. It also will help the hospital significantly reduce paperwork associated with all employee performance reviews.
