PITTSBURGH--GENCO today announced that its subsidiary, GENCO Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. (GIS) as part of a team headed by CACI International Inc. (CACI) of Arlington, Va., has been awarded the FIRST contract by the Department of the Army, Southern Region Contracting Command – East. FIRST is a multiple award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract to provide logistics support to the U.S. Army. The contract has a base period of five years with a ceiling value of $9 billion and two one-year options. The CACI team is comprised of 42 companies covering the full range of capabilities required by U.S. Army’s war fighters.
FIRST succeeds the Logistics Joint Administrative Management Support Services (LOGJAMSS) contract that expired more than two years ago. The FIRST program was developed to provide innovative and responsive logistics support to meet the evolving mission needs of U.S. Army war fighters. Multiple Army organizations will be serviced by the contract, including the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, with operating locations across the U.S. and worldwide; the U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM), with locations nationwide; the Installation Management Command (IMC) at multiple locations nationwide; and the U.S. Army Reserve Command (USARC), with operations across the U.S. Other U.S. Army and DoD agencies will be permitted to utilize FIRST to compete and award orders on an as-approved basis. Under FIRST, GIS will provide a full range of supply chain management services, including distribution and supply support, Army-wide logistics programs and development support and logistical enterprise management systems support.
