Wal-Mart Financial Services Presents Supplier of the Year Award to N.E.W. Customer Service Companies, Inc.

STERLING, Va.--N.E.W. Customer Service Companies, Inc. (NEW), the nations leading provider of extended service plans, buyer protection services, and product support for businesses and consumers, was honored as Supplier of the Year by Wal-Mart Financial Services. This award was presented to NEW chairman and founder Fred Schaufeld and president and CEO Tony Nader by Jane Thompson, president of Wal-Mart Financial Services, senior vice president of Wal-Mart Stores, during the Wal-Mart Supplier Summit Meeting held Jan. 28.

In presenting this distinguished award, Wal-Mart Financial Services looked to recognize a supplier that performed at an elevated level in all areas, including product innovation, support of their culture, dedicated people resources, value, customer service, marketing, customer acquisition and meeting their overall objectives.

During the award presentation, Thompson commented on the longevity of the relationship, the value the Product Care Plan provides their customers, the focus on customer service, the responsiveness of the NEW team and the growth of the program.

The news of the award was greeted with pride at NEWs headquarters and call centers.

NEW has been part of the Wal-Mart Stores family since 1991 when the company began offering service agreements to Sams Club members. In 2003, NEW expanded this relationship and began offering Product Care Plans online at walmart.com and in 2005 Product Care Plans were brought to their stores. Last year, Wal-Mart presented NEW with a Customer Service award recognizing it for the outstanding service Wal-Mart customers receive through NEWs dedicated customer contact center.
