New Warehouse Management Implementation recognized with Symbol Enterprise Mobility Solutions Award
SYDNEY & ATLANTA--Leading supply chain solutions provider, Manhattan Associates, Inc (NASDAQ: MANH), and SkyWire, a leading systems integrator, today announced that they have been awarded the 2006 Partner Ecosystem Award by Symbol Technologies. The award, presented in Malaysia on October 18 at the Symbol Enterprise Mobility Solutions Awards, recognizes the most innovative joint solution developed by two or more members of Symbol’s PartnerSelect program for the Asia Pacific region. Manhattan Associates and SkyWire were recognized for their strong partnership during the implementation of Manhattan Associates’ Warehouse Management Solution with accompanying Symbol RF terminals at a new distribution center for Magna Pacific in Brisbane, Australia.
Magna Pacific, the largest independent DVD distributor in Australia and New Zealand, selected Manhattan Associates’ Integrated Logistics Solutions™, built on Microsoft .NET to manage the new distribution center, combining the solution with Symbol MC3090G devices and wireless enablers from SkyWire to ensure optimal worker productivity in the warehouse. “Working to an extremely tight deadline, we needed to have SkyWire and Manhattan Associates deliver systems that worked smoothly together. What surprised us was how well these two companies worked together," said Chris Bailey, national operations and IT manager at Magna Pacific. The panel of judges awarding the prize was composed of industry experts from some of the region’s leading organizations, including Access Markets International (AMI) Partners, Microsoft Corporation and Questex Asia. Evaluation of the Manhattan Associates and SkyWire implementation was based on the solution’s ability to solve the customer’s critical business challenges by capturing information, moving it to the point where it had the greatest impact, and managing it with efficiency and security—all in real time.
