Lawson sees rapid customer adoption of Lawson System Foundation with IBM SOA middleware
ST. PAUL, Minn.--Lawson Software (Nasdaq:LWSN) today announced it has been named winner of the IBM IMPACT SOA Business Partner Solution Award. The award recognizes IBM Business Partner solutions, such as Lawson System Foundation, that illustrate the strength of successfully incorporating IBM WebSphere technology to solve customer challenges, while delivering proven impact in the marketplace. The award was presented at the IBM IMPACT 2007 conference, IBM’s first and largest worldwide conference on service-oriented architecture (SOA) and WebSphere.
Lawson Software received this honor because the company has positioned its Lawson System Foundation as an effective and efficient way for customers, especially in the mid-market, to begin building a service-oriented architecture, leveraging IBM middleware solutions.
“We are honored to be recognized as the winner of the IBM IMPACT Partner solution award this year,” said Dean Hager, senior vice president of product management for Lawson. “We're making it easier for Lawson customers to deploy a service-oriented architecture that can deliver business flexibility and automation. This award marks another milestone in Lawson’s relationship with IBM.”
Lawson System Foundation, which combines Lawson’s technology with marketplace-leading middleware from IBM, has seen rapid adoption among Lawson customers. Since its launch in February 2006, more than 500 customers have licensed the platform.
Among the customers that have found the benefits of the Lawson and IBM relationship is the Boulder Valley School District in Boulder, Colo. “Lawson and IBM provide Boulder Valley Schools with a reliable, simple-to-manage business system, giving customers like us a clear path to an SOA future,” said Dave Williamson, chief information officer, Boulder Valley School District. “Lawson System Foundation, featuring IBM middleware, helps us reduce IT complexity while giving us the flexibility we need to rapidly respond to changing needs.”
“IBM’s Impact Awards go to solutions that solve customer challenges in creative ways,” said Sandy Carter, vice president of IBM SOA and WebSphere. “When choosing the winners and the finalists for the 2007 IBM IMPACT Business Partner Solution Award, we looked at each organization’s solution and the value they deliver to customers. We are honored to recognize Lawson and their commitment to SOA through Lawson System Foundation, as the winner of this year’s award.”
