CipherLab Solutions Certified Reseller RJM Systems and its Deployment at Pet Supplies “Plus” Selected as a National Winner in Small to Midsize Retail Solutions Awards
PLANO, Texas--CipherLab, a leading innovator in Automated Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) for the retail, warehouse and distribution markets, was named a winner in Integrated Solutions for Retailers magazine’s Small to Midsize Retail Solutions Award competition. CipherLab and CipherLab Solutions Certified value-added reseller, Ohio-based RJM Systems, earned the award for Best Supply Chain/Logistics Solution for their deployment of an ordering, inventory and warehouse management solution for Pet Supplies “Plus,” a chain of 220+ independent retail stores. The integrated solution pairs CipherLab’s 8021 acoustic and 8071 wireless portable terminals with RJM Systems’ customized software, DataMan.
The annual award competition recognizes innovative, results-driven vendors that cater to retailers with revenues of less than $500 million, and is judged by an independent panel of VP and C-level retail technology executives from Integrated Solutions for Retailers’ editorial board.
PSP stores compete with warehouse-style superstores by offering an extensive product selection – but without the same back end inventory space. The CipherLab deployment by RJM Systems solved two dilemmas: how to keep the stores’ merchandise diversified and in-stock at all times. A cost-effective ordering system combining CipherLab’s portable terminals with RJM Systems’ DataMan software enabled PSP to offer the same variety of merchandise as the big box pet retailers, but without the required real estate to support it – and earned the deployment the Best Supply Chain/Logistics Solution award in this year’s competition.
