ST. PAUL, Minn.--Lawson Software (Nasdaq:LWSN) today announced the appointment of David Osborne as vice president of managed services. Osborne joined Lawson in July 2007 following his most recent position as global vice president of managed services for enterprise software provider Infor, formerly SSA Global. In that capacity, Osborne was in charge of a similar services operation.
Osborne brings 14 years of experience in services and nine years of international and global sourcing operations. In his role with Lawson, Osborne will focus on enhancing sales processes and focusing on initiatives to grow the Lawson Services customer base.
“I was drawn to Lawson, in part, because of the company’s commitment to managed services,” Osborne said. “Lawson has simplified support and maintenance with the Lawson Total Care Platinum service offering and I am happy to use my experience in this area enhance how we serve the Lawson global customer base.”
The Lawson Total Care program was designed to meet Lawson customers’ various levels of needed support and maintenance and to fit within their budget and internal IT constraints. The Lawson Total Care program offers four levels of support: Product maintenance and base support (Bronze), more comprehensive support offerings and personalized care (Silver), customer-tailored application management services (Gold), and full application management and hosting (Platinum).
