WOBURN, Mass.--SupplyScape Corporation, the leading provider of software to drive maximum business value and security in the pharmaceutical supply chain, today announced that the Company achieved record growth in its recently completed fiscal year. As a result of the pharmaceutical industrys increased demand for track and trace product security solutions and SupplyScapes clear vision and unique ability to address these challenges, the Company closed the year with a 145 percent increase in sales year-over-year. In 2007, SupplyScape tripled its customer base with additions across all of its target market segments, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, pharmacy and wholesaler markets.

Over the past year, we saw dramatic growth in electronic pedigree and network authentication deployments, solidifying our position as the market leader in pharmaceutical product security software, said Shabbir Dahod, SupplyScape president and CEO. Global pharmaceutical leaders are increasingly choosing SupplyScape solutions for their value chain management needs. In 2008, we will continue to expand our focus on delivering business value across the pharmaceutical value chain with our On-Demand Value Networks platform and application solutions.

Highlights of SupplyScapes 2007 performance include:

New Customers

SupplyScapes revenue growth was fueled by a rapidly expanding customer base across the entire pharmaceutical ecosystem, as well as increased use of its products, strategic consulting and services by existing customers. SupplyScape secured a total of 43 new customers in 2007, and counts seven of the top 10 pharmaceutical manufacturers as customers. SupplyScape also gained additional traction with retail and pharmacy chains, adding major drug chain pharmacies and a top 5 supermarket chain. The company expanded its reach in the wholesale distributor/3PL sector with the biggest 3PL and three of the largest specialty distributors. Several existing customers signed follow-on contracts, including the leading retail pharmacy chain and three top 20 pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

Company Growth

To support its growing customer base, expanded geographic presence in major U.S. markets and increased product research and development investment, SupplyScape grew its staff by more 43 percent during the year. Building upon its strong leadership ranks, the Company made two key appointments in the fiscal year: Greg Cathcart, senior vice president of sales, services and marketing; and Dirk Rodgers, director of industry standards.

Industry Recognition

SupplyScapes business performance, products and executive leadership were recognized by several business and industry associations in 2007. Honors included:

  • SupplyScape was recognized as one of the first companies to have its electronic pedigree software successfully pass rigorous testing and earn EPCglobal certified status. EPCglobal certification ensures customers have the ability to exchange electronic pedigrees in a common and interoperable format.
  • Lucy Deus, SupplyScape vice president of development, was honored by EPCglobal Software Action Group (SAG) as its Person of the Year. She was selected to receive this award for her role as editor of the Drug Pedigree Messaging Standard.
  • SupplyScape was honored by Supply & Demand Chain Executive as one of the top 100 supply and demand chain vendors that are leading the way in transforming supply and demand chains.
  • SupplyScape received a Smaller Business Association of New England (SBANE) award and was recognized for its pioneering role in protecting Americas drug supply and delivering business value for customers.
  • SupplyScape executives shared their thought leadership with industry at events over the year, including the World Health Organizations IMPACT Anti-counterfeiting Conference in Prague, the HIGPA 2007 National Pharmacy Forum and INTERPHEX 2007.
