Texas is Booming With RFID
AUSTIN, Texas--Pangaea Systems, Inc. today announced that it has begun moving their operations from their headquarters in Melbourne, Florida to the heart of downtown Austin, Texas. The move had been planned for several months after the acquisition last year by Intelligentz Corporation, an RFID solutions provider.
“The decision to move Pangaea operations to Austin, Texas will improve our overall operation, reduce administrative costs and increase profitability,” said Michael T. Lucas, Chief Executive Officer of Intelligentz.
The move was prompted by the recent rapid customer growth and combined efforts from both Pangaea and Intelligentz Corporation. “Austin is not only a central point for the United States, but offers a much broader employment base to choose from,” said Lucas. Both companies categorized the move as a ‘natural progression’ for Pangaea and Intelligentz which will not only strengthen the two companies, but also the RFID industry as a whole. Pangaea’s clients, spanning across the world, will now be accommodated like never before.
Richard Soper, former President of Pangaea, has also resigned as President and will now serve as Chief Technical Officer for both Pangaea and Intelligentz. “Pangaea's history is full of change, we have always responded to our customers' needs and in doing so, have found ourselves developing new products by leveraging the latest technologies. I have no reason to believe the future will be any different from the past 14 years,” said Soper.
